Re: Hideous Destructor [Release version 3.2.5]

it seems that holding 'use' while a weapon is rested on the floor will not slow down the aim.
Most of the 'deadrifleman' spawns also spawn a shitton of 4.26 mags and grenades, like, a full loadout.
I don't get either of these. Bracing on floor works just fine for me, and deadrifleman doesn't drop anything at all. (The drops from being raised and killed are another matter.)

1. If you hold down use while standing, your aim slows down, yes? Now if you kneel down and rest/brace the weapon on the floor and open up the scope, the aim will have the same speed as you normally would.

2. Something that spawns marine corpses or whatever drops a shitload of ammunition, I'm talking 1 handgun and 1 rifle at least, with around 1-5 rockets and 2-6 magazines at least. Alternatively a blooper, pistol and a fully loaded shotgun.

In one rare occassion I had a liberator spawn, and I'd like to see more of that, considering I hardly ever find liberators or magazines unless it's from a lucky backpack, chaingun or ammobox spawn, and I've never found a single boss rifle in game so far.

I had also renewed the link to my D64 shotguns: https://www.dropbox.com/s/01884tj2dd245 ... s.pk3?dl=0 (both are now in the same file)

There already is one?
Use +user3 (weapon function 3 or something along those lines in controls) for any cartridge-ammunition based (non-caseless) weapon, so that's any 9mm ot 7.76 weapon.

@@Matt - Is there a way we can have the backpack inventory system before picking up a backpack? It works a lot better to sort stuff out.
Weapon action 3 for me is the rangefinder. Am I doing something wrong?

Select your handgun, smg, Liberator or boss rifle, then press it.

Turbo: Link updated.

David: No idea wrt 1, that's the exact opposite of what should happen and, as far as I've ever seen, actually happens - on all values of hd_noscope.

Wrt 2, what map are you playing? A lot of map will stack a zillion pickups in one spot.

Serathis: You can also type "use magmanager" in the console. If that doesn't work you definitely have an outdated version.

1- I think I read something in a line of code that looked for aiming and bracing weapons, maybe that was flipped around? Like, a ! operator was missing?
2- To be frank, a lot of them spawn dead bodies, and a lot of those dead bodies have a load of weapons on them. Even if it ain't ammo, you can still unload shotguns and rifles. I ended up with 26 4.26 magazines and over 200 shotgun shells on maps from the hellonearthstarterpack wad.

Also, first person to make a fully completable, non-gameplay corrupting compatibility patch with ZDCMP2 gets 20 bucks.

You mean this update from 2 days ago? The error had crept in the day before that, but it's been fixed now.

What gameplay is being corrupted with ZDCMP2?

Half the actors are replaced by what I assume is stuff from realm667, plus there's new weapons and gear that are required to finish the level that aren't compatible with HD (like the logs, soulrender, nailgun, darkclaw and flamethrower for example)

Edit-

Christ, Matt, do you breathe pure caffeine, or do you just have such an amazing memory?
The weapon issues and insane amount of loot seem to be fixed, occassionaly find one or two magazines, rather than a box of weapons, and brace-aiming works properly now.

For what it's worth: a friend of my boss bought us two huge boxes of Starbucks. None of the staff would bother with coffee more than a day or two old except me. Both boxes are in my office now.

(As for the change: all I changed was whether the raised player corpses would drop weapons on a subsequent death. This would mean that the main difference would occur in situations where a playercorpse was placed on the map, then something raised it, then it died again for whatever reason. A map that had an archvile and a bunch of player corpses (which would not normally be raisable) may well cause this situation to arise enough times to seriously skew the entire map's ammo balance.)

Anyway, here's a sneak preview of the next HD release:

.......So, either the pistol is getting better sights, or Hideous Destructor is going to get a heavy thrash metal soundtrack.

That said, documentation is admittedly spotty, and the OP link to the RTC patch is only now updated.
What I meant was, is there a way to have it to where z toggles the scope on and off (not holding, toggle)
Because right now you either always have the scope on, or you can't shoot while it's on.

Also, did you vastly increase the recoil on the shots? It seems like it's now pretty much impossible to sustain fire on anything. Holding 'use' doesn't do anything either.
When you guys say "the link is up" or "the patch" are you referring to the HD "stable release" in the OP? I can't find any other links. Or are they in the thread?
