Years after the Tchpsor siege in Boredomdai, Sanya and a new crew are back to kick terrorist scum ass! Building upon the Daytime Drama world, you go out to the western bloc - Tumblria, Twitteria and YouTopia, where evil terrorists are working on an AI to mass produce clones to keep the world at their ends, spy on everyone, and hook into everything.
Sanya and her crew ain't having that shit. Her superiors invoke Article Five and send them to the nations, which are all ready full of ugly clones, some of your beloved characters. All of them with killing on the mind.
Your job: kill the clones, destroy the head honcos behind this org and put the AI down once and for all.
Daytime Drama 2 is in early development, and Episode 1 is now complete! Episode 2-6 will be completed in time, with new features added. This is just a taste of what's to come.

8 Playable Characters - Sanya isn't alone this time. Each character class has their own unique playstyle, pros/cons and voice acting. Find which one fits you best today!
Weapons of Mass Destruction - The NRA is envious of the arsenal. Carry up to two pistols and an SMG - as well as one heavy weapon, one light weapon, and one melee weapon! Bazookas, Heat Seekers, Firebombs, HowToBasic Rifles, Tri-Barreled Candy Shotguns, Chainsaws, Fire Axes (with actual fireballs when you alt-fire!) and Party Cannons! And that's just in Episode 1! More weapons to come!
Quake, ROTT and Duke 3D influenced level design
Dozens of enemies - many more than Daytime Drama 1 had. From the deadly Elsa Guards to the nightmarish Gumballs - yes, two of them - to the subverted (thankfully) yet still racist Moonman. Oh and Joker Mice with butt syringes they throw at you. Don't ask, it's an Elsagate thing. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Sound Obituary Reborn! - when you die and linger, the game taunts you. If you die by fire, the game calmly reminds you to be cool about fire safety - with Rich Evans in the corner and everything! And it's all done via ZScript's Event Handlers.
Ludicrous Gibs™ - a byproduct of St. Nicolas' island's fireworks industry, there's plenty of blood guts and bone flying at you when you take out enemies in a ludicrous way!
Six Deadly Bosses - There's six episodes, each with a guardian controlling part of the AI's functionality, and each with a stake in taking over the world. If you are tough, you will take them out. Each have their strengths and weaknesses to certain weapons, and others are just plain tough. Boss 1 is just a taste of what's to come!
Touchplates and traps! - need I say more?
Beef or Chicken? - Tons of humor in the enemies, one-liners and weapons!
Future things to be included include: more weapons, assistance from other characters (like assist trophies in Smash Bros) and Grand Finales for each character. And plenty of overhaul to the existing levels as well as finishing the others.
Default controls are WASD. Press and hold E to pick up and drop your heavy weapon, light weapon or melee weapon. FREELOOK IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The heroine from DD1. She's a bit slow compared to most of her team, but outside that, she's the average of the bunch. She does stand out by having more resistance to bullets and melee attacks, but she's susceptible to alot of other elements, including a substance known only as LC. She also has a limited air supply.

Country: Tumblrian-Youtopain defector to Boredomdai
The guy who helped you out in DD1 has joined the team proper. He's way slower but he has more health, but he's weak to fire. He can also swim a bit more, being a polar bear and all that. He is heavier though.

Navy

After Gem Homeworld and the Crystal Gems ended the war, Navy joined as a liaison. She's been sent in to help as part of Delmarva's efforts. She's more resistant to fire and chemicals meant to harm humans, but she's got the speed of Sanya. She is smaller though. She also can't drown.

She got free from Fairyland, only to now get stuck in Boredomdai. Fortunately her wanton violence can be put to good use. More fast and nimble and having more health, she is for those who like fast action. Unfortunately she is more susceptible to toxic elements and fire.

Tough to poof, she can take a beating, and can't drown. However she's a tad slower. But she can use pistols without using her hands! Neat!

Having dealt with evil herself, Rebecca from the Wool Ball series makes her debut in the Boredomdai lore as a fast, nimble, beefed up health-wise character. Not as fast as Gertrude, but not as slow as Sanya or Peridot.

Despite having a bum leg, she's modified the bum leg so she can leap higher than anyone else. Great if you want to crush enemies from above or get to higher places without hopping around.

Marshal used to be a chorus kid. Until his meme-spouting, loudmouth tendencies landed him out of a job. He's the fastest out of everyone, has very low fire resistance, but high resistance to musical attacks.

GENERAL ITEMS Disgusting Food - gives you health. Popcorn Wrap with Ketchup, Milk-Steak with Jellybeans, and Spongecake and Asbestos. Mmmm! Steamed Hams! That's what they call hamburgers up in Albany, New York. Gives you 100HP, and can push you above 100HP easily. Bulletproof Armor - Lasts about 60 seconds, gives you additional protection against boolets. If multiple exist in an area, they do stack together. Fireproof Armor - Lasts about 60 seconds, gives you additional protection against explosives, fire and some elemental attacks. If multiple exist in an area, they do stack together. Colored Keys - Open colored doors. Passport - Unlocks a secret exit. If you find one of these, a secret exit is surely nearby.
NOTE: Sprites below are not that fuzzy in-game, they're just so Comcast users aren't at the mercy of the data caps.
BOOLET WEAPONS
You can carry all of these at one time: Additional Pistol - Be Proud Mr. Woo. Dual Pistols give you more accuracy but not as fast as a SMG. SMG - Faster but not as accurate as the pistols.
HEAVY WEAPONS
You can carry one of these at a time: Bazooka - Sends a straight-firing basic rocket towards the target. 10 shots. Heat-Seeker - Sends a homing missile towards your enemies. Not as strong as the bazooka though. 8 shots. The TextWall - Was gonna call it the Copypasta Conjurer but that sounded too fancy. 5 shots. FireBomb - Remember the Rise of the Triad weapon? Yeah, me too. 5 shots.
LIGHT WEAPONS
You can carry one of these at a time: HowToBasic Rifle - Shoots eggs, and randomly a chicken. 40 shots. Tri-Barreled Shotgun - Three barrels, fully automatic. No waiting. 24 shots. Party Cannon - shoots confetti with a wide spread. And it randomly quotes Idubbbz. 12 shots.
MELEE WEAPONS
You can carry one of these at a time: Chainsaw - Extended range that can even gib lesser enemies. 120 units of fuel. Fire Axe - When you press alt-fire it shoots a fireball. Otherwise just acts like a deadly axe.

Doodlebob - He has a realistic pistol and he wants to delet you. Annoying in crowds. Elsa Guard - She's armed with an SMG and under that dress is armor. Lethal in huge numbers. Cleavage Crab - Those claws are the least of your worries! This homie will shoot fucking bubbles at you! Mr Rental/Mr Own - On his crusade to ban all mashups, he has a triple-firing shotgun and is not afraid to use it! Denko OP - AKA the "Stupid Fucking Hamster Face", he has vibrator arms and wants to show you his undying love. Joker Mouse - These creeps throw butt syringes at you. It's like something out of an Elsagate video, deary me. Greeny Demon - the most original enemy on this list, he is a polite demon who noms at you. Action Hot Dog - annoying on it's own, but in swarms this flying food can be very dangerous. Loaf Bloke - even now, the evil seed of what you have done, germinates within you. The hot dogs it spews forth will keep annoying you until you kill it. and even in death, it'll possibly generate more hot dogs. Ghostwriter - this true capitalist will shot his pencil up your ass, or worse, throw fireballs with his face at you. What's worse is he's invulnerable until he declares it's Radio Graffiti! Textwalls can also foil this, but he's fast! Don't fuck around with this guy. MoonMan - MoonMan is a perversion of the classic McDonald's mascot. Fortunately he's slightly subverted in this game, only spouting obtuse references to racist things. Still, his musical attacks are lethal. Deal with him as quickly as possible. Slappy The Seal - mostly underwater, when he comes near you he'll nom your ass. When underwater, he is not able to be shot. Mikudemon - drawn in a grotesque style, Miku Hatsune has never looked this cute. Pardon me while I cut my hands off for writing that. Nothing about this abomination is cute. Makoubus - what is up with the fucking red nose and hairy arms. And those arm cannons! Ugh! Take it out before it gives you eye cancer! Reee! Garden Thyme Gumball - armed with a chainsaw and a smug look, he goes after your head. And he's a bullet sponge. What could be worse? Nightmare Gumball - If you wanted an answer to the previous question, here it is. Armed with a chainsaw AND butt syringes... and those feet. Ugh! KILL FIRST. Pant Enforcer - buff dudes that throw explosive pant at you and have a heavy machine gun. Do not have bovine, individual.

Daytime Drama 1 is pretty much complete outside converting the Statusbar to ZScript and the music. I've been constantly updating the builds though to include the latest GZDoom engine.

I wanted to add a bit of a challenge and not make the players completely OP.
That said, I'm considering diversifiying the weapon categories to have three or four weapon categories to make it less limited. Just need more weapon ideas to balance it out.
I'm considering heavy, energy/magic and melee weapons to be a category. I'm just not sure what weapons to come up with.
I'm also considering making it so melee weapons (which have alt-fire attacks) you can carry as many as you want... I wanna see if it affects the balance.

I'm sure Bonzi won't be making a comeback due to him being overused and old hat, but if I can find a less tired meme that Joel has propegated, I'll probably include it. The main selling point is the diverse array of enemies you face, after all.
The Dolphins are making a comeback for sure, albiet... slightly different.
I will be re-releasing the alpha once I polish the first episode more. People reported the levels need more work (which I agree with) but also reported no slowdown with the ZScript stuff, which is good.
Having beaten the first game just now, I should ask why the previous heroine, sanya, isn't part of the debacle. Three Classes seem nice, but a fourth could be even better if each one fights with a unique style. Rise of the Triad had four player characters. It seems that picking up an item by holding Use/Examine (a trick we learned with Trailblazer's power-up/inventory system) is something that could translate to infinite ammo for conventional but underwhelming pieces and temporary big guns to equalize the score. That could make for some really frantic play.
That said, there is nothing wrong with not adding Sanya, but the story from last time might indicate the potential for continuity, even if it is still a shooting/exploration game. Speaking of which, much of the fun from Daytime Drama was searching high and low for the Secrets--something most Doom Mods misunderstand. I envision a Hub-like or even contiguous whole, like several maps joined together at different exit points that start you at certain places--like Metroidvania. Thing is, there are new places opening up and keys that unlock doors in old areas, new enemies flooding in after battles from long before.
Of course, these are only suggestions meant to accentuate one of Daytime Drama's greatest ironic strengths: world-building.
