How stringent are they on derivative/remix work, in practice? Their terms of use sound rather zero-tolerance in that regard.Mikk- wrote:Soundcloud?
Most of my Soundcloud feed is artists that do nothing but remixes, and I haven't heard of any of them going down for copyright reasons. And you'd be surprised how many DOS-era composers have active Soundcloud accounts - even the likes of Bobby Prince and Mark Klem.NeuralStunner wrote:How stringent are they on derivative/remix work, in practice? Keeping in mind that the tracks I'm looking at using all come from 90s-era freeware/shareware releases. I'd like to contact the composers themselves, but I'm not sure how to find some of them these days.
