Looks really amazing and smooth!... But i must confess that it doesn't looks much like doom-style at all except duke-style, kinda.

The doom-style i know has more sketchy-details. Osjclatchford's explosion is the good example!

Might you happen to have a version of the longer animation without the shell ejection built into the sprite?

Can you guys work with gifs? I can also provide a Photoshop (CC) file including the frame animation or single pngs (Doom palette indexed, high pink = transparency), which will take some time.

EDIT: Damn, I forgot to add some spinning to the shells again... next time, don't want to spam-post too much.

I'm already excited to see some screens/videos of your projects or even play them, when you're ready to show :)

By the way, I found the SSG base model on sketchfab again, so if you guys use it please consider also crediting the original 3D artist ;)

Tried giving this Cyberdemon a doom pixel art look for a menu screen graphic. Its from a 3d model made by willy: http://willy83.blogspot.ca/2010/01/cyber-demon.html

Have not been able to get the shading and the pixel art to look right.

For some reason, it looks like a monster that belongs in Freedoom by the artstyle

Oh crap someone who knows Dum! Yeah I should to match it, I noticed in the gifs his front chin horns disappear too soon too. Plenty of time to work on it though ;)

I didn't mention but he's based on this little guy I made for a game jam in July
