I'm not that much of an artist, but i'm glad how it turned out, anyways, here's attack frames I did for it and another thing i'm working on.

That's how the legs should look IMO (at least as far as the relative positions of the joints are concerned). The legs on the original sprites are a bit screwy.Jared Deberjerak wrote:

I wanted to do that myself... using the Satyr's legs for the warrior here. With more (slight) editing, they can look like a lion's hind legs...

I thought the same thing. I mean, animal legs like goat's usually has 4 joints. But in doom, they somehow have 3 joints; it resembles vent humanoid leg.Enjay wrote:The legs on the original sprites are a bit screwy.
I don't know why, but i think adrian wanted to give goatmen more intimidating look than stereotypical demons with actual goat leg.

I dunno, it works here. Then again, D3's Hell Knight is probably the scariest design in the entirety of the franchise (it helps that compared to the scale enemies have to the player in D2016, the D3 Knight very much dwarfs the player).

Thanks to its goat legs, also bizarre hellish face and the pale skin, i guess.
But still, i found vanilla one is the most weirdest and intimidating choice of legs. But yeah!

But you really gotta think about it... the thick legs of the Barons and Knights help them stand bipedally. If they were as spindly as standard goat hindlegs, they'd buckle under the pressure.
