Found some bugs:
The machete doesn't have any pickup message, it uses the generic "you got a pickup"
The machete plays the metallic hit sound, even, when it doesn't hit.

I can fix the pickup message, but the sounds are an issue with the weapon itself. It's all one sound effect, so there's not much I can do about it.

You can use Audacity to cut the sound at the end.

Right, MAJOR update time - it's been a while!
Changes:
- The obligatory smattering of new content, of which there is a LOT.
- The Ultimate Doom patch file now enables the SSG and Megasphere (I blame my inner purist)
- The pistol can now be dual-wielded.
- Added a new artefact - the Shuffle Sphere. This is a black Doom orb which gives you a completely random item. This could be a weapon, powerup or inventory item. It will also occasionally give you a secret "bonus" item or weapon not found anywhere else in the mod...
This is my last mod update for a while, as I need to take a bit of a hiatus from modding to deal with some Real Life stuff, so I won't have much time to work on stuff. I'll still be lurking the forums, though, and the next update I post will most likely be the full version of Threshold.
Feedback is nonetheless appreciated. Enjoy!

It's always the way, isn't it? You spend all that time testing, making sure everything works as it should, and then as soon as you finish uploading it, you find a MASSIVE glitch :/
Seriously, though, creating a weapon with the same sprite names as ONE OF THE STOCK DOOM ACTORS is a schoolboy error even I wouldn't make.

There are also zombies packing it. It's also no longer the only weapon from LoS to feature, although you need to be VERY LUCKY to get the other one

Nope, afraid not. There are a few actor functions and flags that Scoredoom doesn't recognize yet. Obviously that rules out Skulltag, too.

I think you can drop the "yet" as BilboHicks kinda hinted he was not interested in trying to keep up with ZDoom's constant evolution. So ScoreDoom will forever remains at the level it is.scalliano wrote:that Scoredoom doesn't recognize yet.

Another little bugfix. Nothing major, but I might as well get it out of the way now.

Another couple of issues fixed:
- Chiller Demon is no longer cheap as fuck
- Trickster Demon's spawn attack is a bit much less spamtastic
- Fixed a sprite clash issue with the Biosuit/BioSphere
- Netherworld Queen joins the Source Guardian on the Cyberdemon's roster, albeit with more health
- A small helping of extra/reworked stuff.
Hopefully this should be all issues cleared up this time, until the next round, that is...
