So to reproduce this bug, you launch GZDoom, and turn on the respawn protection setting, then do "map map01 dm" in the console.

2 bugs:

1. it doesn't protect you, i.e you could get fragged with bfg tracers as soon as you respawn, or even worse, telefragged (even with spawn farthest that's a different bug for a different time).

2. These black and white particles are ALL over the screen forever until you turn off the flag.
