Colored brightmaps ignore desaturation

In GZDoom 4.3.3, colored brightmaps would get desaturated along with the entire sector.

In GZDoom 4.4.0, this no longer is the case and the brightmaps ignore desaturation.

Image comparison between 4.3.3 and 4.4.0 (top and bottom, respectively), and minimal example file.
