(4.5.0) Toughnut.wad red key door won't open

Toughnut.wad cant be played because 4.5.0 simply wont open the red key door. Watched in Doom Builder everything seems okay. Previous GZdoom version let you open the red key door from both sides. 4.5.0 does not. FIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you post a recorded demo and/or saved game of the bug, or map coordinates of the door in question (via IDMYPOS cheat)? Also, where can Toughnut.wad be found?

I'm also changing your thread title to be more descriptive, as the original one describes nothing useful.

See what compatibility level you are playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a teleport line just before the door. It doesn't work in Vanilla (Choco) so use any other compatibility level than Vanilla or Vanilla (strict).

I just played the 64-bit version of GZDoom 4.5.0 and it works fine, for both red switch and door actions.
Basically, it's not broken.

It requires a ZDoom-based port like Zandronum or GZDoom to run.

Don't set a compatibility level on a level that is specifically for ZDoom already.

The "any special blocks <use>" compatibility option is the source of all the "can't open this door, WTF, it's supposed to work" problems I've ever seen. So for future reference, if you ever get this kind of problem again, go check your compatibility settings and if you're in "Doom (strict)", go back to default.

It shouldn't be a surprise that using strict Doom settings will break maps that use non-vanilla effects, be they Boom maps or ZDoom maps.
