Music Format .GBS won't play on an intermission screen but will play on maps.

Please read the corresponding wiki page carefully. There is no music property in gameinfo definition. I guess you need to add intermissionmusic and finalemusic entries.
With developer CVAR set to 1 or higher, GZDoom outputs the following warning. Probably, this message should be printed regardless of CVAR's value.
