According to leodoom85 via Discord, this has possibly been broken since GZDoom 2.2.0, if I understand correctly.

This has always been a "won't fix", if I recall correctly. But the last time this was reported the compatibility system was nowhere near as extensive as it is now - maybe it might be time to revisit this.

The issue here is that the author ignorantly enforced check switch height when, with the mirror, the switch is completely out of view. In fact, it's inside the floor/ceiling, it's strictly a +use linedef with no switch whatsoever. The trick worked in older GZDoom's due to a bug that was since fixed.

The way to fix this is to simply disable the switch height checks for those maps.

Well, all maps have explicit CheckSwitchRange property set in MAPINFO

Also, it's mostly a duplicate of this report because a line stopped triggering for the same reason.

Not mostly, but totally the same thing. To make it short - the option was broken in those older versions, but as a workaround, just disabling the option in those affected maps looks like the best option.

I would like to add a compatibility option for this. Here is the PR. If there will be no objection, I'll add compatibility entries for affected maps.

I have no objections - I think it's much needed - and making it user-accessible is even better (although that will ultimately decrease the number of bug reports we get for affected maps since the user will now be able to fix them on their own).

Why should anyone object?
