Whoa, is the discussion going on even after the bug got fixed?

Needless to say, force pushes isn't good.

It's no longer needed. I halted the refactoring for an indefinite amount of time. All this was done to separate the GL renderer into a legacy and a modern multithreaded version.
But my tests with multithreading gave some extremely clear signs that it's not going to work out the way I planned. So unless I get that sorted out there's no point doing more work here.
