Paper pattern in Heretic/Hexen maps?

Postby IntergalacticWalrus » Sat Sep 06, 2003 10:30 pm

There's probably a good reason why this is not here, but isn't there an "old paper" pattern in the background of original Heretic/hexen maps, instead of just plain brown?

Not really a bug; I just never got around to implementing it.

Maybe it would be nice if we could also customise it... just for that little extra :-D.

As I recall, it uses a graphic for the paper, so you should be able to customize it just by replacing the graphic.

The graphic data for the parchment is stored in the AUTOPAGE lump. However, it's just raw image data, so replacing it will be difficult.

Never thought about it before - just added for the next release of DeePsea 11.83. Import image as a FLAT - size is 320 x 158 right?

I don't remember what the height is (though that sounds right), but I know the width is 320. I divide the lump size by 320 to get the height, which is a bit more flexible than Heretic and Hexen, which used a fixed height.
