[2.3.1] (Ultimate Simplicity) Keys stay after changing level

Postby Krok » Fri Jun 26, 2009 10:42 am

When you change levels in the Ultimate Simplicity (sp_usimp) wad, picked up keys stay with you in Zdoom 2.3.1. They should be gone on the beginning of the next level!

In previous versions of ZDoom (sorry, don't remember what exactly) there was no such bug.

And what is strange - there is no screen melt between changing of levels - and I think the screen melted before (in previous versions). So I think the game thinks that the level is not changed normally, and keeps the keys.

Have you tried the SVN builds? http://svn.drdteam.org/zdoom/

Definitely works for me. As for the melting, all bets are off with ACS scripting involved. The way this WAD works I don't think that it can melt.

I was having the same key-retention problem but just tried zdoom-r1735 and I did lose my keys after finishing a level so apparently, whatever broke it is fixed. :)
No need to start every level with an IDCLEV and a pistol.
