Another crash!

1. This is Single Player.

2. I used Unleashed.

3. I was playing a wad called "3 Steps to Hell" by MegaZzEuX

4. It's a consistent error.

Ok, see the BFG? When I walk into it, the game crashes!!! Ask for the wad if you need it. Thank you!

Since no intelligent people will answer, I suggest that you treat that BFG like a trap that causes a crash and just don't get it.

I'm sorry, but the only way you acutally advance IS to get the BFG! You see, while it DOES setup a trap, (In that screen, there are two barons/hell knights behind me, I can't tell what they are because they're in stone) it also, from the map, seem to open up the exit, which I have to get the past the two barons/hell knights in order to get too.

Wow, what sort of dumbass makes a map with a crash bug in it which is caused by something that you have to get, THEN releases it?

I got this from the /newstuff Chronclices (#141) in DoomWorld. The reveiwer, Ulitimate Doomer, said that the mapper was fairly new to mapping. He visits DC. Let me ask him what's wrong with it..

1. Don't expect a debugging of your problem in 8 hours. Think days.
2. Don't use ZDoom if you want to get through the map if it won't work. The author claimed it would work in ZDoom--contact the author if it doesn't. It doesn't make it ZDoom's fault because someone creates something that crashes it.
3. Don't particularly listen to someone who says, "Since no intelligent people will answer" and "what sort of dumbass makes a map with a crash bug in it" and provides absolutely no helpful information other than "don't do that."

It takes quite a while to interpret a crash, assuming it can be interpreted in any case, and anyone's willing to take the time to do so. You say "2. I used Unleashed" -- what does that mean? Your command line doesn't show any other wads, so I have to assume it's a launcher? Does it happen when you just run ZDoom and the map, no launcher, no obscure DM flags on a SP map, etc?

Going through the newstuff archives, I didn't mention any trouble with it in the review (I would have if there was a problem) so I probably had no trouble with it. This is with 2.0.47 though, there's always a chance that newer versions might break the wad.
