I GOT THAT TOO!

I actually got it on two occasions, one was when I'd killed that bird thing (Excuse my ignorance) on Mouses Chosen (level 4 I think...) and the second was when I was constructing my own level. I stuck a mapinfo in my wad, tested it and I got that error... Funny thing is that my map was working fine, and i'd done nothing much to it...

Ignore my crash, I found the cause. I had two lumps named CHIBI, one was a patch and another was an included dehacked text lump. I renamed the dehacked lump to CHIBIREB and everything's good.

LA, are you using CH126.WAD? Level 5 (the level after the Isis Matron) doesn't have it's nodes built, so if you don't have Gennodes enabled it'll crash ZDoom.

zdoom SHOULD build nodes regardless of what gennodes is set to if the bsp tree is incomplete

It should, but apparently it's not in this case. I only have ch121.wad, so I can't check. Since the version I have does include nodes for level 5, I assume ch126.wad has old nodes for that level and ZDoom isn't detecting that.

I've got ch126 now. I'll see what I can make of it.

Added a fix for ch126, map05. I just needed to do some extra checks when loading the segs. Now the nodes are rebuilding properly.

So... how do I combat this problem? How do I enable Gennodes?

Do I have to wait for 48.cab?

And yes, it is before I enter map05...

Great mod by the way :-)

Type gennodes 1 at the console (won't generate the nodes until you start a new map or restart the level), or put gennodes 1 in your autoexec.cfg if you have one. Or just use a config name of your choice, put gennodes 1 in it and load like this

zdoom +exec lexus.cfg

Thanx a lot for that... I'm assuming that Gennode is Zdooms built-in nodes builder...

I assume gennodes stands for generate nodes rather than the name of the builder which is just, uh 'zdoom internal node builder'. you can also enable an internal blockmap builder with genblockmap 1 ... just some extra info heh
