GZDoom status bar aspect ratio is too squat

Post by biospud »

In gzdoom the status bar has the wrong aspect ratio. The face of the doom guy is too short/wide.

Steps to reproduce:
* Start a game of gzdoom in Doom level E1M1
* Look at the face of the doom guy in the status bar at the bottom
* Compare to the screen shots below

It seems the status bar does not respect the pixelstretch setting.

I spent a few hours trying to git bisect the origin of this problem. I determined that the status bar aspect ratio was correct as late as December 1, 2014, and was too squat already on July 13, 2015. But I ran into build troubles trying to narrow it down further. So it seems it's been this way for a while.

You can set this in the options menu.

Perhaps I accidently changed the setting from the default value.

Otherwise the default option should be the correct aspect ratio, don't you think?

The setting is Options->Hud Options->Scaling Options->Hud Preserves Aspect Ratio->ON

If that's not the default value, it should be.
