(Actually, funny enough, I did this when I was in Skulltag, too. And when I was an officer in MMO guilds... pretty much any time I had any real responsibility and had to deal with problem users)
I actually do this in Eve Online as well. Comes in handy, in a game that is primarily about being a scumbag space pirate. :P

If you WANT to be a scumbag space pirate...

Does anybody here still collect any old record set's because I have almost 30 to 50 types of old record albums that I have in my closet. Most of them are classic rock, and some old 50s and 60s music but the rest are 70s and 80s rock music.

The reason why its because I'm trying to sale them but I wouldn't know how much they are actually worth and some have been used and some are still in the plastic wrapping. Does anybody here know how much a record album might be worth?

You could go to a music store and have them appraised, but they might low-ball a little. Alternatively, google the names and try to see what they're selling for on eBay or other sites. Use that to set your prices, whether you're selling online or real-life.

Then, see if they sell. Simple answer, they're worth as much as somebody is willing to pay for them, so if no one buys then lower your price a bit and try again. Auctions are sometimes good for this because in theory you'll get the highest possible price from dedicated collectors bidding over it (assuming your listing has high enough visibility).

Don't rush the selling either. If they're popular/sought-after vintage in good condition, generally the value will appreciate over time.

I used to collect keys. Any type of them. Being useful or not, being old or new, door keys, car keys, but i lost them.

I also collected some Cheetos (or any Elma Chips) zaps (known around here by "Tazos"), bubblegum stickers, guitar picks...

What i collect today are vinyl records. Not a big collection, but very beautiful. Ranging from country, to rock, pop, classical and i'm eager to buy some Miles Davis discs.

I collect games, consoles and computers. I probably have 30 that goes between the Atari 2600 up to the current gen (home and handheld combined) and while I may have 20-40 games with many of them, I have close to 900 PC games.

My computers collection is not that big, thought. I have the Commodore 64, Amiga 500, Atari ST and a few laptops that either originally came with DOS or Windows 3.1 up to 98 (well, I have one that came with Windows ME that was given to me in a bad shape, but probably not worth restoring). I have a bunch of spare parts and used some to build a Dos/Win98 machine to support most games I have and trying out some that support the Voodoo 2 card at the time.

What I love to collect is cars, and train models. I have about 30 to 45 different types of car sets and train sets.

My biggest item that I love to collect is the big Tonka trucks the "real" Tonka trucks that was all metal and not plastic. I have an very old rare Tonka truck that was made back in the 60s or 70s I can't quite remember when they actually made the trucks but its still in the box, never been opened or used. I would never sell it because my 2nd grandfather gave it to me when I was 8 years old.

More specifically, after a nuclear war that turns a small percentage of the population into zombies, and another percentage into super mutants, while some institute of technology starts creating robot technology that perfectly mimics humans?

Well, if you guys don't mind a bit of shameless self promotion:

https://thefriendlycard.wordpress.com

I started writing blog posts about the decks of cards I've come to collect, as well as other musings about solitaire in its various forms. I mean, it's hard to imagine a lot of overlap between solitaire players and the doom community, but somehow we got Rats Solitaire out of it, and that's pretty awesome, right?

I play quite a bit of Solitaire. Both the Klondike and Golf variants. Quite fun.

I'm playing Klondike Freecell myself, just to make sure I can force the win every time.

While I'm not really collecting computers I'm collecting an awful lot of crazy stuff that makes me think I ahve more computers than I actually do. Part of it is one computer is physically down right now, but... AT least there's like three monitors out in the open right?
