As mentioned in the "a simple hudmessage" thread, I've added this. It happens immediately after all other tickers, within the same tick. With this there won't be a 28ms delay anymore when reading play data from ui.

This will surely work if client and server are the same system, but beware of the eventuality when these can be separated in the future. Then your instant feedback will be gone.

The reason this exists is solely due to how p2p works. On client/server all these hacks will no longer be needed. I AM well aware of that.

I agree that this should be looked at. This would be very, very handy for something other than the messages that I'm working on.

We've been a bit ... busy the last few days, which should be obvious from where the current activity of this forum is focussed. There's no need to rush this, this will be looked at before the next release.
