Attached is an example pk3. You should see a simple cube with transparent bits.
Transparency works (more or less, seems like faces are one-sided unlike in GL) on paletted Carmack, but on softpoly (both paletted and truecolor) and truecolor Carmack it doesn't, alpha is completely ignored.
