Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!

If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.

We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

Confirm with joystic button in main menu

Post by Guest »

Hi,
I can call the main menu during gameplay with my Xbox 360 Pad because in the zdoom.ini I have added this line:
joy10=menu_main

But from there I can't do anything because there is no a confirm button in the joypad!

I've have read all the wiki about zdoom.ini (https://zdoom.org/wiki/Main_menu) but I can't find out the answer!
It seems as the only button available is enter on the keyboard.
Please help this thing is driving me crazy.
Thanks.

We don't ban people for this, the problem isn't that your solution doesn't exist, but that nobody is around that knows how to help you.

Now from what I know, there are default menu controls for gamepads, but they're wired up to xinput buttons, which I'm unsure applies to anything but Windows. It could be this is an oversight, or it could be that nobody has had a need for it yet, considering that the amount of people who play GZDoom on a gamepad and on a non-Windows platform is likely to not be very large at all.

Beyond all that, I'm not sure how else I can help you.
