[Release] DOOM HD weapons and objects

For high-res texture/sprite projects, sprite-fix patches, music add-ons, music randomizers, and other graphic/sound-only projects.

[Release] DOOM HD weapons and objects

Hello! I've created a hd (8x-16x +) weapons, items and decorations pack, compatible with doom and beautiful doom, tested on gzdoom. All animation frames are included for the smooth weapons, decorations and items, and the pack should be complete. I've tried to keep the redraws of the sprites similar to the classic sprites, with changes where I thought additional detail was needed, so it fits in with hd environment texture packs and the doom style.

This is the first release, and its an ongoing project with sprites being changed/reworked, and I'd appreciate any feedback or if any issues are encountered.

Credit goes to id/beautifuldoom/smoothdoom for the original sprites these were redrawn from. Thanks for reading!

Could anyone who has downloaded this let me know if they're having trouble loading it? I'm running it on gzdoom 3.3.2 on linux without any issues, however I've been informed that someone wasn't able to load it at all in gzdoom.

Yeah, it's because of how you packaged everything together, but hopefully the pk3 I sent you will work properly!

Hi yep thanks for that - sorry I couldn't reply to your pm directly, I've just registered and don't seem have access to pm's yet. While you're here, could you tell me whats happening when you try to load the mod, how its being loaded, and on what version gzdoom? I'm running the mod via terminal command gzdoom -iwad doomu.wad -file HRRP_Doomv0.11.zip, on version gzdoom 3.3.2, and its loading without any problems here.

Well, with when I was loading it, I loaded it in 3 ways on ZDE. The main .zip, the hires folder, and the three folders seperately on GZDoom 3.4 and the mod would not load whatsoever, so I repacked the mod in a way that it worked for me (which was putting all the images in the main directory) and got it to work that way. Maybe I did something wrong on the way, but I got it to work the way I knew how.

Is zde the zdoom executor launcher? I haven't tested this on any launchers, but I'll distribute future versions in flat pk3 files if its causing issues with that - thanks for letting me know about this, and for the file.
