I recommend to use with Low-Res DooM :

1. Voxel models:
Voxel Chibi Doom!
2. Sound:
PC Speaker simulation
3. Music:
8-bit music
or
Chiptune by Shiryu
4.HUD:

So I get that this replaces textures, but what other things does it do? Does it replace weapon sprites? Does it work for Doom 2 or is this purely for Doom?

People on this site need to describe things better.

Cool video. The massice amounts of blood don't fit the style in my opinion but it does give nice hit feedback.

Yeah, it looks like a low-res Brutal Doom.
This is not a bad thing, but looks quite different from 'just doom in low res'.

Where do you have the pcspeaker sounds from?!

*EDIT*
Nevermind, was blind. Now we also need 8bit fonts and 8bit graphics... the status bar looks out of place :-D

That's because the "8-bit blood" is literally BD's blood system with some textures replaced.

^Indeed! I hope we will see the rest of the textures converted sometime. I can imagine it being a lot of work having to do everything from scratch...
