I see no reason why both the blue and red can't glow. It's maybe less dramatic in as much as there wouldn't be a big contrast between the brightness of the reds and the blues but, to me, they both look as if they should be glowy.

Probably because that'd defeat the purpose of brightmapping the textures in the first place. I mean, after all, it is just blue and red. If you get both, then the entire texture will light up. You might as well just fullbright the entire texture, no?

That's kind of what I was getting at: it would indeed make the whole texture bright so you'd lose the contrast of the bright read versus the dull blue. But I still see no reason why the blue shouldn't be bright. It looks like it should be bright to me. Of course, both the red and the blue have brighter and duller looking bits so it shouldn't be a universally everything-fullbright brightmap. Even so, it still wouldn't have the big contrast between the red and the blue that a red-only brightmap would.

So, yeah, it does make everything bright. An unforseen consequence was that with all the walls/floors looking bright, areas lit with dull light levels look odd because the walls/floors are bright but the sprites are lit at their usual (dull) levels.

BTW, I noticed an error in HorrorMovieGuy's file:

I tried this mod with my own FIREBLU project and it looks goooooood (if you can even tell what's going on that is, what with all the fire and blu going on)

FIREBLU infected a marine corpse and now fights the hordes of hell due to fragmented memories of its host's past.
(her main objective however is to DESTROY ALL BITRATES)
