Those script errors will almost always appear. One of them relates to Hideous Destructor and will not appear if playing Hideous Destructor + Droplets, and the others are related to blood/gore I encountered in Smooth Doom, I believe. Any time you see a Droplets actor whose name begins with "c_" it's a compatibility actor. It's going to produce errors, but they're not going to affect the game or the mod.

I've been wondering what those warnings were every time I loaded the game and saw those precise messages..

I'm afraid the latest release of Droplets is going to increase the number of warning messages, but I hope the rest of the new features may be worth it!

Droplets 1.3.0 is out now! It includes a new setting that makes blood droplets spatter and create new droplets on impact (may be performance intensive), another setting that adds giblets to large blood squirts, and new visuals like blood mist when actors bleed. Lots of changes; they are (hopefully) all listed on the linked GitHub release page. :)

Really loving how this looks anymore! Quite a nice gore system that manages to be quite horrific at times, but doesn't feel over the top. Well, at close to default settings anyway. The misting is looking exceptional lately. One tiny issue I ran into using the new spattering blood droplets feature in the first map of Doom2. In the room with the two switches with a couple of imps and the four zombie gunmen on the elevated platforms, after murdering everyone, when I press the one switch to lower the platforms it seems the blood spatter spawner goes nuts and paints the room red thus slowing the game to a crawl. I'm not sure why or how since there's nothing getting crushed there and the corpses should simply be lowering to floor level when the platforms drop, but its happened three times to me so far. The FPS doesn't seem to recover so I have to load an earlier save.

Was pleasantly surprised to discover that you don't need to start the new game after updating this mod to the newest version, and old save games made with Droplets v1.2.1 work just fine. However, I'm partial about the new blood mist effect. After killing several shotgunners in quick succession that blood mist just fills the room and it's not subtle. Any chance of getting an option to turn it off in the future releases? Or maybe at least make the effect random so it does not happen every time?

Oh my. I need to try this for myself and fix it ASAP. Thanks for letting me know about this!

I'll add a toggle for it in the options menu; I might also reduce the occurrence of blood mist.

Thank you both for your feedback!

Bugfix release! Grab version 1.3.1 to hopefully fix that awful freeze that was happening, as well as gain the option to disable blood mist on blood squirts.

Gosh, you're lightning fast at your work! Thanks a ton!

EDIT: Sorry to bother you again, but it seems like 'Spawn Blood Mist' option doesn't work and the effect is displayed regardless of the setting.

I never liked the blood drip or bullet impact sounds so I end up making null lumps for the sound effects, or is there a better solution to this minor nitpick of mine?

Regarding the blood mist, I rarely ever see it. Only during really excessive gibbing where it seems appropriate. My only complaint would be that the mist itself lasts a bit too long. I like that it lingers a bit, but its a tad long.

@AL-97 are you using the ludicrous gibs option? If so, that's the only time I've noticed the mist happening too often, but then again I thought that was the "ludicrous" part of the option lol. It does seem to happen every kill using that option. Even just pistol kills. I wouldn't be surprised if the mist toggle gets overridden by the ludicrous option.

It would be pretty cool if the misting for ludicrous gibs functioned closer to normal since those long lasting clouds of mist can really get in the way when killing a crowd. That's actually the main reason I don't play with the ludicrous gib toggle on. Also, thanks for the quick fixes Josh771!

Yeah, I just tested this and you're right. It's the 'Ludicrous Gibs' option that is causing the mist to appear even if 'Blood Mist' is set to off. Hopefully, Josh771 will be able to figure it out for the next version, whenever it'll happen. No disrespect, but I think I'm going to stick with v1.2.1 until then.

The mist toggle never applied to gibbed monsters; I assumed it was mostly the constant mist spawning from blood squirts that people wanted to toggle. And, like ate0ate said, I didn't expect it to cause much of a problem unless you've got Ludicrous Gibs turned on (which isn't a very performance-safe option in the first place!).

I'll go ahead and reduce the duration for the giblet mist clouds, and I guess I'll make the blood mist setting apply both to bullet impacts and gibbed monsters. Expect it in the next release.

Also @Glaice, Droplets has not implemented its bullet/melee impact sound effects for some time now. They're just sort of sitting in there because I haven't cleaned them out yet. As for the blood dripping sound effects, I've been toning them down lately to make them quieter and make them play at shorter ranges. If that's still undesirable, I can add an option to disable it.

EDIT: While this is not an official release, I have implemented some changes on the latest Droplets master such as making blood dripping much quieter, making giblet blood mist considerably shorter, and making the blood mist option toggle giblet mist. The .zip file from this link can be loaded just the same as a .pk3 or .wad file. You can always watch changes on the GitHub page and test the latest Droplets features in-between releases! :)

Just tried out the new build and I must say that mist is really looking good. I like the lingering effect, it just felt a bit too long before. Its perfect now, in my opinion at least. I don't really use ludicrous gibbing as its a bit excessive for my tastes, but I do use just about everything else and its all looking quite nice. Definitely my favorite gore mod. Thank you for all of your work here Josh771. It is greatly appreciated:)

I came across a decal issue when recording stuff for the 25 Years of Doom stuff on my channel..

The decals that stick and bleed down a little when on moving sectors don't always play nice..

Is this a known issue?

This was tested with GZDoom 3.4.0 because I was recording.
