Widescreen statusbars (v2206)

For high-res texture/sprite projects, sprite-fix patches, music add-ons, music randomizers, and other graphic/sound-only projects.

That is cool, but I thought your Fullscreen Statusbar Mod project had made the need to load up individual custom status bars obsolete. :o

Well, you can see, people keep posting here and there are obviously quite a few who prefer this over the Fullscreen Statusbar Mod. Then again, outside of GZDoom, that mod is useless. So yeah, there ARE reasons for this to exist. To all lovers of Crispy Doom, International Doom or PrBoom+: This is for you!

Hey man, could it possible to have a widescreen version of Sunder's status bar? Hoping that it influence Doom God to get the wad finished.

Were all graphics converted to doom format?

Also, I could make and upload a folder called "autoload" which would have all of these status bars in folders with the names of their corresponding wads. Would be really convenient for woof or prboom users.

The Fullscreen Statusbar Mod and this project have nothing to do with each other. It doesn't make any sense to add widescreen statusbars to a mod which focusses on a split bar that doesn't require widescreen images. Even the non-split bar is intended for the standard 4:3 format. The point of the FSM is to gain as much screen space as possible while these widescreen bars do the opposite, covering gaps. We are widecreen compatible, though, so you can use both at the same time. Even though I really wouldn't know why anybody might want that...

In general, all bars should already be converted, no pngs, so they work with Crispy. If you wish to go through the ordeal of creating all those autoload folders, go ahead. Quite a few ports would profit from it, actually. Crispy, PrBoom+ and Woof, at least (there might be more, but those are the ones I am using).

Please note this:
Lately I am assuming a port is used which supports Unity assets, i.e. automatic graphics lump centering. Therefore, I am not applying offsets any more. This means if you use older ports such as ZDoom, statusbars will not be properly aligned.

My question now:
Does any of you need or even require this? I can retroactively apply offsets to the new statusbars, but it will only matter for old ports that aren't updated any more.

I've made an "autoload" folder with the status bars in folders named as their corresponding wads for use with Crispy Doom, Woof, PrBoom and some other (except ZDoom and multiplayer wads for obvious reasons). Just put the folder in your source port directory and they're ready to be autoloaded with your favourite wads.
(I also didn't add Anomaly Report and TNT 2 because they yet to be released as the final version. But Sunder is there; you know how rarely it gets updates.)

If anyone finds errors in folder naming or in other things, please let me know.

NightFright, I'd suggest to replace the current cchest status bar with this because not everyone uses the ultrawidescreen resolution and they don't get the sides of the current bar in 16:9 or 16:10. The bar from the link looks very nice. What do you think?

And are you planning to get other status bars from there?

Community Chest statusbar has been replaced. It's better to avoid cloning or hijacking somebody else's stuff. In general, I prefer creations made specifically for this project.
