Well, the font color certainly didn't work as the original, and the HUD itself is slightly off (why change the HEADSUP line to -55 instead of -54?).

I've decided to make my own tweaks to resemble the original as much as possible, and I believe that it is perfect.

Hello, fellow follower of the cult of the damned.
I'm not really sure what changes you made or were talking about, but I wouldn't know anyway because I have no knowledge or experience with the HUD coding Doom uses. I only copy-pasted what Max gave me.
Apparently something was off by one pixel... In any case you provided a nice option to those who prefer the original doomguy face over AtM's bearded eye patch wearing vagabond.

I'm starting to wonder if I should create my own thread to host the links I made before they are buried in this thread ...

Yes, the subject of a new thread is questionable. If I had the say, I'd rather have the links out in the AtM OP. I think it's the best way for people to find it. As I said, it is a badass HUD on its own and fits Doom lore very well. 'Cpl. Taggart' display and all that.

I have made a post asking WW to add the standalone HUD links to the OP though, and commented over at ModDB in the 'broken' mod's comment section for people to check out the post that currently contains the links to the final HUD result I've made.

When I get home I'll try making a version without the face.

EDIT: Headless version done, added to the post with the other links.

How can you just throw away the doom face?! That's the best part about the doom HUD. He even looks in the direction you're hurt from.

I know, but it's optional. If anyone here really can't stand the face...

Seriously though, it leaves up a better opening to imagination and stuff like that. It might be a pestering bunch of tan pixels on the screen for some.
