Oops, forgot to give you the thanks and praise you're due. An excellent mod to be sure. It's randomization mixed with a multitude of randomization mods, makes for a great pairing! On the plus side of that bug, it does allow for a completely silent track experience. Perfect if you can't be arsed to mute the music in the menu, and just want something like WMP in the background.

Thanks! Haha, I bind an alias to cut out the music since I too am sometimes lazy enough to not bother with the menu.

Code: Select all

alias musicoff "snd_musicvolume 0.0"
alias musicon "snd_musicvolume 0.5"
Glad you like the mod. :)

Finally got around to using this, and OMFG so gooood

Are there any plans for non-Doom IWAD support? The jukebox map is more or less navigable in Heretic (didn't try it in Hexen & Strife), but most everything is untextured and it spawns monsters & ammo because of SpawnNum/DoomEdNum conflicts.

That was planned with a rehash of the jukebox map to use unique textures, but I'm very strongly in favor of entirely throwing out the map, replacing it with a straightforward (hopefully) scripted GUI that is accessible from any loaded level.

Ah. That works even better. Also, let's say a piece of music is playing in a map, and you skip to one several tracks after that. Is there a way to have the next level start playing the next track after the one you skipped to?

That would require being able to play the jukebox's music in sequential order, rather than in an order predefined by a list of tracks that occupy the map slots.

Worth some thought, though.

It's been a while since I visited this page and I don't recall, are you taking requests for popular wad tracks? I'd vote the Back to Saturn Episodes, and Whitemare 2 wads.

I need to look through this thread for the popular requests, and bear them in mind when I come back to this whenever.

Maybe the first post should be edited to contain requested track lists that you plan to implement. And/or a poll if you get too many?

This is pretty awesome - although do you have any idea why it doesn't seem to work with my WadSmooshed IWAD? Nothing plays when I generate playlists at all.

I'm probably dumb but what is the difference between regular and user jukebox?

User has no tracks in it. You have to supply them yourself.

Doesn't seem to really work with Wadsmoosh'd Doom. Generated playlist doesn't come into effect, from what I can tell.

Hi Jimmy! Do I have to download all 3 versions or only one?

For example; is there any difference from the Latest Version to Instant Randomizer or the 2 are essential, etc ...
