Right now this is a collection of tall skies for Doom II: Hell on Earth.
It was mainly created with the software renderer in mind and may not look good in the GZDoom renderer. Plus I don't know how GZDoom selects the sky fog colour so I don't think I'll bother making tall skies for GZDoom.
If I decide to do skies for GZDoom, they would be high resolution skyboxes that will be faithful to Doom's original skies.
To do:
- Finish the hell sky. - Re-do the city sky because I hate it. - Go over the seams to make sure they don't look obvious. - Find out how to not use TEXTUREx so that it'll work for any map with default skies. - Maybe Ultimate Doom skies and Final Doom skies.
Yeah, simple stuff really. It was created merely so that the default skies do not stretch... I thought the stretching was horrible at the resolution I play (1280x1024).
Didn't want to mess up the original look and feel too much. Though I do admit that I messed up the city sky big time if you actually play it in-game. I wanted to create a burning city feel to it and it obviously doesn't look good.
