[ABANDONED] DOOM Eternal Classic

DISCLAIMER: This mod has been abandoned. I've lost all of my motivation for it and just decided to stop it all here. Thank you all.
Anyone's free to make a "v2" or a total overhaul or whatever they want really. Just do what you like to do.


Welcome to DOOM Eternal Classic! A Simple Mod that ports DE Weapons (and hopefully all monsters) into Classic DOOM!

The goal of this Mod is to try to be similar to DOOM Eternal's Gameplay (Weapons, Monsters, etc..) while still being as Vanilla as possible.



It Includes:
-Almost all Weapons (Including the Wrist Blade)

-Imps and Cacodemons from DOOM Eternal (Might change the IMP Sprites a bit to be similar to DE's IMP)

It still doesn't Include:
-The pickup sprites for most weapons.

-New sprites for most enemies.

-Ballista (Might be included at some point)

-DE Weapon Sounds (Will get included, soon)

-DE Monster Sounds (Will also get included, at some point)

UPDATE:
-Added New Pinky Sprites.

-Modified the SSG Offsets.


Credits:
Sgt. Shivers, Skelegant and Wartorn for almost all of the weapons sprites (doomfiend for the cleaned-up shotgun sprites).

D4D team (I think..) for The Chainsaw Sprites. SGG, Chainsaw and BFG9k pickup sprites. and also for The Imp, Pinky and Cacodemon Sprites.

Hellstorm Archon for the Fist sprites with Gloves.

VriskaSerket for the Centered BFG9k Sprites.

and of course, ID software for their amazing game.

Bloody hell that's gonna take some balancing... Don't envy that task. Not tried this yet but looking forward to more!

I feel like the super shotgun sprite needs to be a little bigger

(Im only suggesting this but) maybe some smooth weapon animations. And also the Doom Eternal hud. I dunno its up to you. 🙄

now i have a question..

in he future, will there be a meathook to the SSG? cuz this mod IS looking pretty sick tbh, even if its just re - textures for the moment.

Looks quite interesting. Nice job replacing all the weapons... Except the pistol into Doom Eternal's. But my complain might be the sound effect. All the weapons still use the vanilla ones.

Is this still being worked on?

It would be a shame to have it be abandoned, being that it has a lot of potential to offer up a Doom Eternal-flavored weapon roster that keeps it close to vanilla...
There are already too many spastic, overpowered, overexcited, zoomer weapon mods out there that really screw up Doom's gameplay. It'd be refreshing to have a "Xaser's Argent"-like Eternal mod.

Hey, why don't you add the pistol? If you have Doom Eternal on pc then you can select centered guns and go in the console and enable the pistol and change the sprite enough to look like its from 1993/94 Doom?
