Re: Brutal Strife - BETA Released
really good mod, however wont the fun gore just give us more reason to not progress from the first town map & not play the game seriously? (how many hours have you spent on the first map, killing civilians and fighting the spawned acolytes instead of playing properly ?)

After BD 19, Brutal HeXen, and after Recurring Nightmare, and Extermination Day, and ArmageDoom Chronicles.

Again, just my opinion.
Really? This is one change Strife needs. We already have gameplay enhancers from Strifenhanced. I don't really mind the huge aesthetic change with the all the blood and gore, I would have every game I own get realistic gore if it was possible.
But Strife has probably the most mediocre, by the numbers level design out of all the doom engine games I've played. Visually unappealing to top it off, some random sci-fi art styles all mixed together into a generic look, little variety with levels and enemy types.
Strife was supposed to a build game that broke the mold, by having RPG elements, like interactable NPC's, dialogue choices and story emphasis, was barely used and felt empty.

Whatever. Which is the name of the actor that is the fire made at the new PhosphorousGrenade's explosion? I see it is not PhosphorousFire as it continues the same vanilla fire if I do "Summon PhosphorousFire".

I'm only going to let this stand because it's a question specifically about this mod. But since the mod's author is banned and cannot answer your question, you're probably going to have to open the project yourself to look at it. If it's a PK3 file, rename it to a ZIP and extract it and look for anything in the Actors folders that looks like what you want.Glaice wrote:Why in god's name did you bump this dead thread?

Of course, my dream to this project were destroyed after many month ago afterall. So no expectations right there.

I'd suggest heading over to the /vr/ Doom threads if you want to get a hold of him, sometimes he posts there with BD v20 updates.
