The auto fire for the pistol was removed for the Light Assault Rifle, that a basic zombieman can drop at a low chance, so the pistol being auto fire is just redundant. The shotgun was made to mimic the fact that in real life you dont fire a pump action shotgun that fast, but i can see you point, and may put back in the A_ReFire for the shotgun, but not the pistol. If i do make the pistol fire somewhat automaticly, the light rifle will get removed, and the pistol will go to 4 damage instead of 3.
