[WIP] Doom Tower Defence [Beta Out]

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

Could I make a map for this?
EDIT: Also this would make a great multiplayer gameplay, where one person gets to be the guiding creatures and the other is the tower,or you could have a chaotic fuckfest of 5 people summoning creatures and the other five defending one tower

I considered it, until I realized one person could sell all of someone else's towers, etc. Also, who gets the gold? The tower creator? The tower upgrader? How does the tower know? How does the enemy spawn creatures? How does the tower team win? How do I identify the tower's creator apart from the other players? I already use the target field for other things. It is way too hard to implement in its current state.

If you make a multiplayer friendly version, I will gladly support and accept it.

I will accept maps, though. Try not to depend on very many scripts, and I can add nodes myself.

Typo, should cost 80. I'll fix that, and perhaps release a new map tomorrow sometime.

Why do not you set these levels as different floors of an enormous tower? That could be an original idea. For each floor, a different set of puzzles and battles and strategies... what do you think? :)

Anyway, I have been in the process of completely rewriting the code for this mod, making it hack free, and best of all, New Maps!

Progress:
  • 95% - Remaking the Global ACS Library
  • 35% - Making Generic Versions of all Map Scripts
  • 95% - Replacing Inventory Markers with User Variables
  • 40% - Creating towers with persistent stats
  • 5% - Creating an Endless Challenge mode
  • 75% - Maintaining Compatibility with Stock Doom 2 Maps
  • 60% - Converting ACS HUD to SBarInfo
  • 15% - New Maps
  • 100% - File size restrictions (I want to keep it under 1Mb + Maps)
  • 1% - Gameplay Balance
  • 100% - Credits for Resources and Inspiration

The currently updated version isn't exactly playable, I think there is some serious balance issues though. I will upload a new version tonight, hopefully.

Due to a programming crunch, and me being my robotics team's head programmer, I cannot update this is soon as i would like. I can, however, post some code for a tank/car/fork/swerve steer robot in java. Team 68 - Truck Town Thunder.
