Nah, just too short. I mean, really.... how fun is a map that's less than a minute long?Cutmanmike wrote:You sayin' my test map wasn't good enough huh punk!?
You have GOT to make this work with multiplayer somehow!

It may be possible, nothing is impossible, hell, thanks to video support, you can make animated cut screens that you see in halo, halo2, doom3 any others that I cant think of (cut screens in those games aren’t animated but they have to be for a video file in zdoom). Multiplayer will just need a lot more scripting and support.

Here's an idea for multiplayer support: make several copies of the portal gun that shoot portals and give them different sets of TID's, give each player their own TID, and then go from there to give each player "their" portal gun. For bonus points, make each player's portal gun launch different colored portals (Player 1 gets red and blue, 2 gets green and yellow, 3 gets orange and purple, 4 gets grey and brown).

I'm not sure I understand you, but I'll try to answer anyway:Bio Hazard wrote:Why do both portals have to be the same color if they take you to each other? Does it really matter?
1) The two need to be different colors from each other so that you know which one is your primary attack and which is your secondary. If they were both the same color, you would have no way of knowing (except remembering) which "attack" you'd need to use to get back to that point. So, imo, this is important.
2) If this could become possible in multiplayer, why would each player's colors need to be different? Because you'd need to know which ones were yours and which ones were others, especially if players can only use their own portals. And, for reason number 1 as well.
Perhaps it would be possible to make the player always see their own portals as red and blue, but everyone else would see them as that player's color (player color, team color, or a randomly assigned color, or color combo, as described above). That would be pretty cool, but is probably a lot harder/impossible.

Hmm. Well i'm agreeing with weasel's idea here, should be fun.
Edit: Grrr sticky why do you abuse my maps so?! I can't beat your time. I keep getting over a minute
My time so far is 1:09. Btw, you can jump the first lava bit if you really try.
Edit2: Since so many people liked it, i'm going to extend the map myself.
