Building Better Binoculars

Since DoomGuy has a helmet with a visor that includes a HUD, it makes sense that such a visor would have a few more perks, such as an automatic zoom when scanning for enemies. This is my take on that called SmartZoom.

Top shows a normal view in E1M1. Once SmartZoom detects a target, it zooms as shown at bottom. These options are controlled in the Settings menu, including the minimum distance to trigger a zoom (that also determines the zoom factor), magnification factor (multiplied by the calculated zoom factor), and how often it should scan. The zoom remains in effect until the player or target moves.

Now all we need is a far cry 3 style tag system and 6's analysis type shit to go along with this.
