Please add SS/Nazi Variant


The SS Nazi will be replaced with another doll enemy (The Doll Magus). She will not only appear where Nazis normally spawn, but the Dollmaykr will summon her on occasion as well. She's not the highest priority so I'll probably get around to making her once I finish the pain elemental.

For Years I have missed a Mod in which you can PLAY as an Angel. <_<


I'm actually surprised as well. There's dozens of doom mods where you play as a demon who goes around killing other demons, but no mod where you play as an angel killing demons. Seems like ripe territory.

Whenever the Cherub gets squished by the Crushing Ceiling, the Halo gets left behind
I was playing this Voyage Infernal, this happens with Vanilla Doom. I checked.

This is a Rare bug, I tried to replicate it for over an hour


This glitch happens when the angel's body is instantly destroyed It happens when an angel is quickly crushed, frozen and shattered instantaneously or when the angel is turned to stone (In the newer version of corruption cards). It's something I'm trying to fix. I don't think it will be too hard to code in a failsafe to remove the actor, it will just take some time to figure out (Let's just say, my programming skills are almost non-existent.)

There's a leftover Teleport effect, IDK if that's intentional or not and When using the Kill command, The Player scream is a Anime girl scream

The teleporter effect will be sped up and the frames will be altered. Doomguy's girlish scream is a result of replacing the gibing sound effect with the high pitched scream. It's also why when enemies resurrect, they make that scream.

They are some other minor bugs in v.0.7. The goal is to fix all of these little issues with the next update. I want to try to get v0.71 out within two weeks and v0.8 with the joy elemental (pain elemental replacement) sometime in May.

Thanks for pointing this stuff out to me. It's nice to know people are playing and enjoying the mod.

What's RC 1.0? I don't think I know what that is.
I've talked with Hege about La Tailor Girl and streamed it before. It's one of my favorite weapon mods. Goes well with angel slaying.

Major features

-Fixed a bug that caused Halos to not disappear correctly when enemies were crushed, frozen or turned to stone in corruption cards
Big thanks to Yholl for rewriting the code.
-New enemy: Turbo doll
-A unique doll that can be summoned by the Dollmaykr. She's similar to the knife doll, but moves faster and has slightly increased HP.
-Difficulty settings
-Tsundere Waifu: A custom difficulty that removes all infighting. Recommend a weapon mod for this difficulty.
-Custom quit game notifications that give gameplay advice, lore and other angelic trivia.
-New bullet death animations for the Kiss arrows and Iris butterflies
-Fast Aspect of Iris butterflies are now green.
-Teleport animation speed increased.
-New voices for Virture Virgin, Dollmaykr and Aspect of Iris.
-Over 40 new sound effects

Gameplay tweeks.
-Cherubs have a custom slap melee attack that does almost no damage.
-Decreased damage of Cherub's waterball.
-Reduced Cardinal movement speed slightly
-Increased Aspect of Iris rainbow blade attack
-Dollmaykr movement more sporatic
-Dollmaykr will occasionally summon a shotgun duo

Major update: Version 0.8! With this update, all standard enemies have been replaced (Minus the Cyberdemon and Mastermind)

Major features

-New angel: Joy elemental (Replaces Pain elemental). An angelic musician who happens to be an instrument herself. Joy elementals play songs that can resurrect dead dolls, smol and big angels. At a distance, she can use her horn to summon putto who can revive the dead as well. A very high priority target.
-New angel: ????? (Replaces SStrooper). Ready for danmaku?
-New angel: ????? (Replaces ?????). This bird can only be found in the high heavens.
-New dolls: Turbo revolver doll and turbo shotgun duo. Unique enemies spawned by the Dollmaykr. Similar to their vanilla counterparts, but faster.
-Completely reworked the Virture Virgin. She starts off identical to the Authority, but gains new abilities when her HP drops to 750, 250, and 50.

Gameplay tweeks
-Aspect of Iris jumps towards player when using her rainbow blade
-Dollmaykr spawns more unique doll types.
-Dollmaykr does decreased damage.
-Shotgun duos and Turbo shotgun duos cannot be resurrected by Putto or the Joy elemental.
-Decreased the Kiss's rate of fire by 2 seconds.
-More lore added to quit menu.

Greetings. Heard that this got another update, so I played along with it and here's my updated set of feedback for this mod.

Didn't list every angel here since some of them has no changes... Or I wasn't paying enough attention.

Cherubs - They're somewhat faster now, and their slapping melee is rather pitiful. I sometimes feel bad that I usually retort with an SSG blast to any Cherub that goes too close...

Dolls - Nothing much has changed, or I wasn't observing enough. The only stark difference is the Knife Doll doesn't produce the ear-piercing scream when it's gibbed compared to the other dollkin.

Turbo ones are another story. Quick, tougher and fast-shooting - as expected of the Dollmaykr.

Cardinals/Blackbirds - Again, not that much differences, except their 3-hit attack and the way better slashing sound effects, which I dig.

Kiss - They're actually more fun to fight now IMO. The expanded voiceset, the more appropriate arrow hit sprite, their faster shooting rate... They're great.

Authority - Rather cheekier this time around, too - sometimes if you stun her with a fast-firing weapon she'll sometimes break through the stunlock and pitch a slashwave your way all of a sudden.

Virtue Virgin - Man. Hands down. This angel is now one of the enemies I just like fighting. It's literally a danmaku fight especially with more than one VV, and it's even more if they're badly wounded. And they fly as well now, which makes for a more fun challenge. Except on cramped spaces.

Aspect of Iris - Many kinds of ripper butterfly projectiles, an even stronger melee attack (with a lunge towards target to boot), and an expanded voiceset... What's not to love?

Joy Elemental - Man, this angel is cute. And I can't help but smile whenever a Joy Elemental is around since all she does is literally DOOT you full of Puttos. Unless I was standing on a floor full of her dead comrades...

On another note, the Joy Elemental has probably the most graphic death animation in this mod, seconded by the Authority/Virtue Virgin.

Dollmaykr - ...This is probably the most challenging angel yet in their ranks, and probably the first that's rather visibly angry at you. I'm not sure yet what she says on her voicelines but I think she's cursing you even at death...

Her quick and very sporadic movements, summoning droves of Turbo dolls in a pinch... She's one of a kind.

My only gripe with her is the ensuing lightning that manifests when she attempts to purge your soul - it manifests rather too long and it blocks your vision temporarily. Unless if this is what's intended, then I understand.

The SS replacement - I think a certain baka ice fairy might be irked by these angels and their large danmaku output.

That's all, I guess. Again, I'm liking this mod a lot. It's pretty much one of my go-to's on most sessions. Keep up the good work.

Last thing - I wonder how you'll do the Cyberdemon and the Spider Mastermind...


EDIT: Found something rather weird during my recent sessions.

If you quickly attack a Joy Elemental and she retaliates with more DOOT-ing, chances are some of the Puttos that she DOOTs out becomes undamageable/invulnerable, and the only way to dispatch them is to let them revive a dead enemy. This is noticeable if you attack her quick enough or when fast-firing allied NPCs attack her relentlessly.

Thanks for the updated response on the enemies. I glad you're digging them.

I have not been able to replicate the Joy elemental's invincible Putto. I'll have to try it with companion mod.

Currently working on improving existing animations and adding missing frames. Gonna start work on the cyber replacement once I finishing my state board exam.
