I don't really do alphas, only very very late betas, release candidates, TBH. I understand modders that do it liking to get early feedback on their project, but I'm the type of guy that has a very focused vision of what I want and how I want a mod to be, and as such, I like to deliver the vision as a whole, and not in parts where people will end up getting the wrong impression. Say, I were to release KET as is in "alpha" (as it very much it still is), people would be "hey this seems OP/UP" and "X doesn't seem to play good with Y because Z" without the knowledge of what's to come.

Here are my personal suggestions for DOOM: Kar En Tuk that might hopefully make it into the Alpha Build:
* Centered Weapons:
I'm gotta give props to ID Software for including the option to play DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal with "centered" versions of the Doom Slayer's weapons. In fact, as of writing this, someone is nearly done making "centered weapon" sprites based on DOOM Eternal's beefy arsenal (apart from nostalgia goodness). Maybe an add-on might make this happen! I hope!

* Expanded Blood and Gore Options:
All the bloodily-gory goodness of DOOM Eternal is good and all, but some people might find all that gore a little too much for them to take in. (Looking at you, gaming journalists who can't play DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal without whining about the game every few seconds!) I suggest the game also has the option to adjust the amount of blood spawned whenever you hit a Hellspawn with your gun/Blood Punch/Glory Kill/Chainsaw. The option should have this: Realistic (the minimal amount of blood used in v2.0 of D4T: Death Foretold, which i and a few others liked!), Normal (the default blood option for Kar En Tuk) and Brutal (for those seeking to replicate the bloody gore of Brutal Doom, because no one f***ing asked, including myself!)
* More Multiplayer Modes:
To be really honest, i haven't played DOOM Eternal and i haven't got the chance to play its Multiplayer Mode. That being said, those who played DE might lose their collective s*** if a "BattleMode" is included in the mod, maybe in a future patch or two. Fingers crossed!
* Resource Packs for Mapwad Makers:
I was kinda hoping for a mapset that recreates the DOOM (2016) experience, but there's not a single Google search where there's a dedicated mapwad exclusively for D4T: Death Foretold just for that! Maybe you might release resource pack(s) for both D4T: Death Foretold and DOOM: Kar En Tuk for all them mapwad makers to use! Or heck, a community mapwad project! That would be cool!
* More Glory Kill Options:
I'm still impressed with all the Glory Kills recreated in Kar En Tuk, though you can ask some of your fans what Glory Kill they want to appear in the mod. Maybe a Weapon-Specific Glory Kill or two. Also, you might wanna work on improving the "Glory Kill Shader" (the effects that appears when you stagger an enemy, leaving them wide-open for a Glory Kill), because it kinda lacks some...flair!
* New Fonts Gallore!:
Also, simply apply this font (https://demofont.com/doom-eternal-font/ ... 20projects.) over to KET, and voila! Complete DOOM Eternal conversion mod!

And that's all the suggestions i have for Kar En Tuk! Perhaps this might help in the development of the mod. No pressure! 😊

hope you don't mind me getting my butt in the way but i want to say a few things regarding that "list of ideas", we love the feedback we're getting so far, but rest assured we've looked into these already so at least let me give you some answers that have been pretty much been answered already:
centered weapons are not going to happen, unless someone wants to take the time and redo all my work and animations just for aesthetic purposes
these weapons are already pretty complex and require lot of frames for everything, and every state and mod, doubling work just to satisfy a few people who prefer that is not worth it, but again if anyone wants to give it a shot and make an addon, please do! we'd love to see what the community is able to make after release, just don't expect me to sit down and redo every weapon more than once because it's madman's work already
blood and gore was never an issue in our mods, not even performance, unless we encounter issues with it, they might stay the same for the time being
no, no brutal anything, that's not what this mod is about
multiplayer will probably happen after release, everything else is priority at the moment, so no official word on multiplayer "yet"
just like addons for neat things in other mods, it'd be awesome if people make mapsets for this! not gonna lie, playing thru doom 2 with many mods gets boring eventually, so if anyone wants to make maps for kar en tuk, i personally would love to see them and play them!
more glory kills would be awesome, we're definetly looking into it, it's not like we're forgetting stuff or ignoring them, there's still a lot to work on still
so no idea what we'll add next as glory kills for now
fonts? now it might not be noticeable, but, if you watch the trailers and micro-showcases, you'll be able to see the eternal fonts that i've made specifically for this! it's not just images of the letters, but an actual font in nice pixel art! rest assured i want this mod to have as much content as i possibly can make in photoshop haha

there's still so much more to work on, and everything is still a work in progress
we don't do betas or build tests so don't expect those, keep an eye on dbt's youtube channel or join the discord for more news when they come! you really don't want to miss anything because boy oh boy, it's going to be even more hype soon!

honestly, sprite based graphics suits the visual gameboy gameplay style of doom 2016 and doom ethernal better...
with all their the cartoon icons and such
