Here's the fixed version:
  • Fixed the game not offering you cards again after loading a save (after completing a level).
  • Fixed UI not displaying card tiers.
  • Fixed UI not displaying how many cards are in each deck type.
  • Fixed UI not displaying the "and its species" text for monsters with species.
  • Fixed a crash with excluded maps in the CCARDS lump.
  • Fixed cleardeckmap not actually working correctly.
  • Fixed UI not displaying win streaks.
  • Fixed win streaks not being recorded.

can we get a slider/toggle for the egg cards to control what comes out of them?

currently BFG9000s are a common occurence considering the amount of eggs, same as health kits.

would be nice to have "all eggs spawn a mini-enemy" as an option.
or poison clouds, explosions etc/trap style stuff. or even small amounts of minimal ammo/items (health bonuses, clips etc)

I don't want to add per card sliders/options as it could start to warp the intended card effects too much.

The eggs drop what items exist in the current map as I want it to work with every mod. I'll have to program in item rarity. I.e if there's only 1 x item (i.e bfg) in the level, it has a much lower chance of being in an egg. I've also lowered the amount of eggs spawned as it seems to be way too high at the moment.

that's fair. can you maybe bump up the rate that it pulls enemies over items somehow?

More crash fixes, and added one extra card for good measure.
  • Fixed a crash with starting a new game while in the card selection screen.
  • Fixed a crash when saving a game after choosing one of several cards.
  • Fixed a crash with Last Word projectiles with 0 tic death states.
  • Fixed a bug where cards could be added to the compendium after loading a save without completing the level.
  • Fixed the Cannibalism buff effect not spawning when a monster had eaten the maximum amount of corpses (and made the effect more obvious).
  • Fixed Nuclear Curse breaking boss maps.
  • Fixed troublesome monster curses being offered on special maps (i.e dead simple).
  • Petrification Enchantment no longer cancels out Feign Death.
  • Carrier Upgrade now has a smoother animation when monsters begin carrying another monster.
  • Changed The Chosen One card to remove the invulnerability effect after killing 90% of the level's original total monster count. This means any extra monsters that are spawned/resurrected can be killed to decrease the amount of monsters needed to make the chosen one vulnerable.
  • Mystery Eggs can no longer drop (modded) keys.
  • Reduced the amount of Mystery Eggs spawned.
  • Added a name tag to the Mystery Egg actor.
  • Reworded some of the custom game options.
  • Added 1 new card.

is it possible to fix petrified enemies not dropping items?
getting petrified zombies can completely screw up ammo balance.

It's an intentional mechanic. You don't want to pick that card for x monster if you value their drops at that point in the game. It is excluded from the "Balanced" deck if you're worried about map balance.

it's basically impossible though because petrify zombies comes up almost guaranteed in the first 3 levels :P

what else does "balanced" disclude?

Quite a few. Any cards that would prevent 100% kills or alter the experience of the map design too much. Here's a list of cards that get added via the CCARDS lump (though it uses their old internal class names).

I've been attempting Doom2 with 8 permanent cards per level with Intensify mod.
The ammo drops are gonna be the least of your problems later on :P

not if i can't get there :P is there an easy way to disable petrify card alone like a launch command argument?
