People have been pestering me for a Berserk doom mod for years, and while I do love the character of Guts (he's just so fukken pissed off lol) we already have the Dark Souls series and that's as close to Berserk as video games can get
That being said, the Dragon Slayer is really cool so I decided to make a Doom themed ripoff, the Guts Ripper and Slayer Cannon. They replace the chainsaw (gauntlets in Heretic, superbootspork in Chex Quest), I may add more weapons or merge this mod with an older weaponset, but for now I just thought I'd share it for anyone else who wants to rampage through the UAC facilities with a sword bigger than Phobos itself lol
Primary fire is sword, altfire is gun, both are enhanced by the berserk packs and the gun is way more effective at point blank range lol
You can reflect enemy projectiles too, wait til they're close enough then smack them into the nearest wall/demon

It probably does but I'd suggest you try some other cool mods with it like Dead Marine: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=58521

Small update, the sword now goes through multiple enemies at once, gives ammo on pickup, and the gun alerts monsters when fired

this is REALLY fun to play with beautiful dooms gore. it makes it FEEL like your really cutting there arms and heads off, legs, cutting them in half etc. its just super satisfying.

This weapon feels absolutely beautiful, although I'd personally like to see some variation in the slashes. Doing the same horizontal slash gets a little tiresome after a bit

I tried your suggestion and went Dead Marine+Guts Ripper. I threw in Champions as well.
Watching those bodies explode is a thing of beauty. Kinda wish we had a variation of this in Nun with a Gun now.
