Hi! Nailzx128 is here.

Do you love "Redneck Rampage" guns? I don't know how about you, dear reader, but i love them so much! So, i'm desided import them in Doom. But with smooth animations & cool effects.WARNING!!! It just pre-alpha version!

TO DO list:
  • Add Leonard's quotes
  • Add some items
Changelog:
  • Added fonts!
  • Added some enemies!(The original code belongs to the authors of the EXMixer add-on for the Samsara mod. I just adapted it for zscript with minor corrections)
  • Added simple HUD!
  • Added new "select-deselect" animations!
  • And a lot of fixes!

do you have plans to add the sniper rifle and shotgun from redneck deer huntin' too? and leonard's quotes?
also, the crowbar has no impact noise, leonard's player sprite is a too tall, and gzdoom crashes when i die, but that's normal alpha stuff.

Oh God,i completely forgot about Leo's quotes and Redneck Deer Huntin' guns. Thank you for reminding me.

A quick report:
1) Saw alt. fire behavior is not correct. I have already seen more accurate RR saw implementation (probably in AEoD mod?), you just need to grab it there.
2) Dynamite crossbow shoots in the wrong direction (not where the crosshair is, a little bit to the right). Probably intentional?
3) AK47's fire sound is not from RR :)
Anyway, this has a potential to be very cool mod (as soon as alien gun will be added)! Keep it up.

Thanks for the report! I know the crossbow is working a little wrong. in the near future I plan to fix it. Сoncerning the AK47 sound. I created it by myself, just combine gunshots from Vietcong and from Redneck rampage. If it sounds bad, i'll return classic sound.

No it's not bad at all, but not classic. I'm not sure what's your aim: to create perfectly accurate RR weapons mod, of make something RR-based; so decided to point that out.

I'm always wanted make RR weapons more smoother and balanced. Create some cool effects for them. So, yeah, i'm want to create "perfectly accurate RR weapons mod" :)

FYI: If you want to add RR enemies, they are already ported (AEoD mod contains them; even those horned rabbits from Route66 are there :D)

BTW, I've found some bugs.

1. Ammo pickups are considered collectibles. This means that it's impossible to achieve %100 items if the player doesn't pick up everything. This can be fixed simply by removing +countitem from all ammo pickups.
2. When the sling blade is used, one of the frames cuts off horribly.

Just wanted to bring these to your attention. :p

so, when i die, i get an access violation related fatal error on gzdoom idk why
my only other issues so far are scaling related, like the shotgun pickup looking massive, leonard's player sprite looking even more massive and some weapon pickups not fitting in, but other than that, i like the stuff you've done and the little details, like the tnt box exploding when shot by the crossbow. good job, man.
