Any chance you can add an option for lower volume on the SSG replacement? I realize it's supposed to be loud, but with headphones it requires keeping the game volume really low to not have it unbearably loud.

EDIT: Better idea! Make it temporarily deafen the player when fired. Like explosives do to Gordon in Half-Life 2. Solves the problem quite neatly.

It's virtually impossible to implement deafening due to how the engine works.

I wonder, would it be possible to simulate the underwater effect on demand, like how everything sounds muffled

Just at least make a tinnitus sound whenever you fire it. :P

Yes, it's what ouch_m does (and what lilith did before it).

Well that's unfortunate. But yeah I daresay it's dangerously high, moreso because of how long it lasts.

EDIT: Thanks!

Beta 2 will have a menu option to lower the volume for it (clientside).

I don't really see myself using the "pet" weapon too much (even though poke at least instantly cause enemies to easily flinch, especially archviles.) as the hitbox is quite inconsistent.

Love the Doomguy head essentially being a smart bomb, though.

You're supposed to pat the heads. (I know the calculation is kinda naive as not all monsters have the "head" in the same place)

Figured. Well, I save the Mr. Big Shot for the big enemies when the pellet box weapon does fine for the smaller fry. The Big P hits decently hard for its ammo usage. While the Magic Trick doesn't deal a lot of damage, but I like that it hits everyone I'm looking at. Also, the Astolfo plushies are actually pretty neat for those enemies down below; the throwing arc for aiming up may be a bit awkward for those higher-up enemies though.

Also found an occasional bug where revenants with the heads shot off won't stop screaming upon dying.

Bug that was supposed to be fixed.

I guess I'll leave it in, because I have NO IDEA why it's still happening.

I love all of this, but can we get some bears of the polar variety too?

Who knows, maybe he's like Astolfo but also summons the Japanese goblin, piano Blastoise and pants man to beat the shit out of demons. or something.

Beta 2 is finally out, after a whole week of work! Many bugs were fixed, and two new weapons were added, among other things.

As usual, there may be things I missed so do tell me if you find any issues, especially in MP since I haven't tested yet.

Beta 2 Hotfix 1 out now. A certain thing was rebalanced and gained an attack for aerial enemies.

Summoner of ouch faces? Nah. Summoner of monsters only the most twisted mind could come up with? Hell yeah. Props for making a joke WAD that's actually somewhat fun too.
