@Ghost: Certainly, a click is easy. I'll get to that in a bit.

@Glaice: I'm pretty sure this isn't DarkDoomZ, so I posted your report in the bug thread for this issue

@wildweasel: I'll do some more testing but I'm like 99% sure this isn't DarkDoomZ (unless it's just a pure dynlights performance issue). If you can give me a specific map + instructions to replicate I'll try and see if I can figure anything out.

I've added all three of these reports to the DarkDoomZ issue tracker on Github; I'll close them when resolved, either on my end or elsewhere.

By the way, does anyone have any feedback on the experimental fog density option? Should I make that an official feature in the next version?

Might be there be a way to have the really bright sectors to maintain their lighting and light effects?

Anything in particular you had in mind? As-is sector lighting effects are a bit wonky and I'm not sure how well I can implement them while looking consistent (which is why I opted to simply disable map lighting completely). To say nothing of light effects created with ACS, which are virtually guaranteed to break in some way, so I worry giving an option one way or the other might imply more compatibility than I can actually deliver.

@Cali: I dunno, the flickering, blinking and pulsing effects that would otherwise give some mood to maps?

add a function so that you can color the radius and range yourself

@FanDooM: Sorry, I consider that out of scope for this mod. In my opinion the included flashlight and quality presets should cover most people's performance or visual needs. If you really need custom flashlight settings such as color, please check out Steve's Flashlight Mod. It can be loaded right along with this; you just need to change the keybinding.

I know that module of Steve, I just wanted to play with the range of light, I meant to add a function other than custom ones, and arbitrary setting, and then I have something to slow down on halogen, and for several mods I do not want to connect, if you can then tell me how to add sound on and off

Sorry, I'm not going to add custom flashlight parameters to DarkDoomZ.

I've added a toggle sound in the latest git master, I just need to do a point release.

I'm gonna have to download this and give it a try. :) It's neat to see remnants of my work expanded despite my own falling off the face of the earth.

Wasn't he the Droplets dude?

Indeed I was. I'm the Droplets / Sneaky Doom / Dark Doom guy. I made a couple other things but those are probably what people will remember me for.

EDIT: Oh, and to keep more on subject, I love what you've done here, Caligari87. The inertia on the handheld flashlight is pretty nifty, and I like the red filter option combined with a very dark light setting for a truly terrifying atmosphere! :)
