Didin't the editor of this site say that "Anyone who ever uses the word "gameplay" needs to seriously consider their life choices"?Kinsie wrote:Ribo Zurai wrote:Congrats, the mod was featured in Rock, Paper, Shotgun!

The gun is literally so strong that it penetrates the dimensional barrier and kills demons in other dimensions and brings them back to the current one.TheAdmantArchvile wrote:Kinsie wrote:

I haven't gotten to test the quickdraw yet, but I love the staff's new altfire.
Hah! There was a Project Brutality Monsters Only I tried it with(though not the one on ModDB), and that happened. Works fine for me with the regular BD one, though.TheAdmantArchvile wrote:Kinsie wrote:

Most correct and non self-hurting measure for BD you could ever come up with. So yeah, that's stuffy!

Played with "Fistful of Doom" definitely a great experience, to the point where I'd say that it's a great "canonical start" if the mod had a story.
This mod is definitely one of the better ones, but not due to features particularly, but because of how unique in premise, design, and style it is, nothing has ever been done like HND before, and it gains a massive point because of that.
The only issue i have really is the use of a "waifu-type" thing with Basilissa, to the point where it seems that the "canon" is that she is just some humanoid thing with a skull-mask on, with is kinda unfitting to Doom, since all demons have some sort of Ungulate, or twisted humanisation thing going on, unless the actual canon is, that Basilissa is just another "Belgaphor" (Hell Knights/Barons Of Hell) and that humanoid face thing is just fanon, but that's less of a problem with a mod, and more of my issue against Waifus, and Waifu-Anime content in general.
Also, I'm kinda surprised, some Django-esque Gatling Gun-type, and Winchester 1887-style weapons weren't added

The waifu aspect is just us fanwanking, it's not cannon in any way (at least that we know of).

Hmm, that might be a code confliction in that version of PBM or HND (It happens), I haven't had any issues testing the PBM on ModDB with HND and also had no issues with the monsters only Brutal Doom version either. Regardless, that's a pretty amusing bug tbh.Irrevenant wrote:I haven't gotten to test the quickdraw yet, but I love the staff's new altfire.
