Sorry to disappoint :( That'd be pretty awesome though, I did want to make one years ago based on the Holy Diver music vid but never got round to it :D

This is absolutely hilarious, as a long time Jojo fan, I'd love to see an add-on of best Dio, part 7: Steel Ball Run Diego Brando being playable. I'd love to break out Scary Monsters and murder demons as a freaking Dinosaur!

This is amazing! And I hope you continue developing it because it's got a lot of room for improvement, for instance:
- Dedicated binds. The SRSE and whip could work as auxiliary attacks with their own binds.
- More abilities. Like the Freezing technique (after which he could shatter frozen foes with SRSE), and his Spores which he could use to turn monsters against each other (with a more powerful version requiring more stand power).
- Replacing MudaMuda's secondary with a melee Stand MudaMuda which is faster and more powerful but quickly drains stand power (there's a fitting animation for it in one of Russian Overkill's melee attacks).
- Having Joseph's blood enhance ALL of DIO's abilities (piercing SRSE, longer time stop, longer The World range, flight, etc.). Joseph's body could also be a rare spawn, and, once found, would last till the end of the level.
- More DIO quips from the show and video game?

At least Dio in this is named after Ronnie James Dio, which is cool. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure has a lot of characters named after musicians/bands, a guy named Speedwagon, even Vanilla Ice.

That music video is very metal, gotta love that fun medieval motif. And including some Dio midi is a fun touch. Your mod looks very cool by the way!

Hey there!

I've been loving and absolutely addicted (IT'S THE GREATEST HIGH) to this mod, but I've just recently ran into a bit of trouble.

In Doom II, level 30 (Icon of Sin), I'm stuck with DIO. I've thrown 600+ knives at the wall demon's weak point, stingy eye blasted it a bunch of times, I've even spammed punches as High DIO right on top of it, but whatever I do, it doesn't seem to have any effect. I've looked up videos of regular doom, and the players use the rocket launcher to hit that spot. With each hit the wall seems to give some sort of reaction, and in about three hits it goes down.

So I started thinking maybe this mod doesn't work on that level? But I read this thread and saw people mentioning the last level, so they managed to get through 30 somehow.

Help would be really appreciated! I'd really like to be able to finish the game as DIO.

Ride the elevator, run forward to the ledge under the Icon, and jump up the tiny ledges on its face, then crouch into the opening and dispatch Mr Romero however you like (not while High though cuz you can't crouch)

Btw, sorry for double-posting, but I don't understand exactly how doom mods work, this is all very new for me: Can this DIO mod be played in any game supported by ZDoom? I have Doom II and that's where I've been playing it, but now that I finished, I wanted to play it more, maybe on the extra master levels for Doom II on sale on Steam, or maybe in Ultimate Doom. Is it possible?

If it's made for any of the Doom games, it'll probably work on all other Dooms as well. The only potential hazard would be in Ultimate Doom, if some gameplay-vital object replaces a Super Shotgun or is dropped by a Chaingunner, you won't find those in Ultimate.

Heretic and Hexen support are complicated to add, so not all mods will have support for those unless the author spends time doing that.

I tried both DIO and Kira's Bizarre Adventure, my suggestion for your next mod is one where you can play as Jotaro and use Star Platinum.

They're from the old PS1/arcade jojo game (which incidentally was my first encounter with the bizarre adventurers lol)
