I Retro-respect this mod. I knew you could do it nicely, with a bit of VHS taste!!
Re: [NEW!] Doom Delta v2.0 Released!
I finally decided to give this mod a try and I have to say it is exceedingly well done.
I also like how certain human enemies don't drop souls. It's a nice touch.

I'm liking this thus far.
I have a question though: In Wolfenstein 3D, the score system tied into a gameplay system: If you got to a certain score (10000 iiirc) you'd get an extra life! Since Doom does away with lives entirely, is there any reward for reaching certain scores (other then bragging rights)?

Nice job with the new version loving it so far.
Re: [NEW!] Doom Delta v2.0 Released!
Nice and complete. Feels really good. The menus are particularly impressive. My only "problem" is the view height of Thi Barrett. I mean, I get that she is relatively short but the default Doomguy already has his viewheight far too low so that his eyes are in his chest. Playing as Thi meant me feeling like I'd escaped from Willie Wonka's factory.

Seems like a very good mod!
Unfortunately, I'm having a rather big, game-breaking problem with it. Basicaly every time I find a secret, the game crashes. I'm using the newest, stable version of GZDoom. I really don't know what might be causing this problem and how to solve it, which sucks because the mod looks amazing.

I have a wild theory about that - what model of CPU does your machine have?Ghidora wrote:Seems like a very good mod!

I'm currently playing on a laptop because my desktop is currently undergoing repairs. That being said, why would it cause such issues? I have about 100 mods installed and all of them, besides this one, work flawlessly.

Re: [NEW!] Doom Delta v2.0 Released!
Hm. Well, my theory was going to be that it was related to this CPU feature-set issue with the FLAC decoder, but your CPU is Intel, and by all rights shouldn't have that kind of problem. So, that theory's out the window.
Re: [NEW!] Doom Delta v2.0 Released!
However, if it is just crashing when secrets are found, replacing (as in loading on top, not editing gzdoom.pk3) DSSECRET with a sound file of a different type (or maybe just deleting the one from a copy of the Doom Delta pk3) could still prove to be a useful diagnostic.
BTW, the DSSECRET in this pk3 is a WAV.

Why does the game crash when you press the next/previous item keys?

What version of GZdoom are you using?
