Flare Guns did exist in the 1800s here's an 1866 model of one. This could be a good replacement for the BFG9000.

Yeeeha! love this style of mod, I disagree on the Blood one liners though, Caleb may be a badass undead gun slinger, but his voice doesn't sum up western cowboy in my opinion. Unless it actually is Caleb and not some old west gun slinger (like the enemies made me think), because his backstory was he was the best gunslinger by the age of 20 and if this is a prequel to Blood, then perhaps.

This is my favorite weapons mod, it makes me think that this could spin-off into a Pirates Doom style mod, only with wild west theme.

while all these gun ideas are cool, they dont offer much of a variety. flareguns seem cooly viable tho. Also, more of a pet peeve than anything, but man that blood ssg is old. why not the alpha one?

If the mod has many different types of handguns, perhaps only being aloud to carry one at a time, dropping it when you find a different one, or a shop system with enemies dropping loot and being able to choose and buy which ones as they would basically only be cosmetically different. I agree the shotgun from Blood is a great sprite, but it's sadly overused, i'm not sure if the black one from the Alpha would be ideal either, maybe a modification of the current one's graphic.

Thanks! I'll try and find some way to differentiate the Sawed-Off from blood's. About the handguns, there are only 2, so I don't think that's necessary. Also, poll closed, Caleb one-liners will be in. Keep in mind that they are optionable; you can toggle them in the options.

EDIT: Would darkening it like this be good?

IMHO, blood sprites are like Powerslave: always overused, but always reliable. This color edit is great, but i agree on the alpha ssg. It looks smaller than the original. I think you should put what YOU feel better for your mod. Just because the sprite is very well known it shouldn't be excluded if you like it. So here's my two cents. I'll download it tonight.

100% Honest, the new revolvers suck. they dont look as good as the ones before

also, the ssg is too much to the right, doesnt aim at the crosshairs

The dual C96 will add one "phantom" bullet to the left gun if you try to reload and don't have enough ammo to fill the right gun.

the new design of the shotgun looks really good, almost rusty, is there a way you could combine both the original and alpha shotgun together?
