Yeah, I'd recommend just summoning a chainsaw and that'll get you the correct spawn.

Having played the old version, the improvements you've made are amazing. Lord Blaz is a lot more enjoyable to play as now; while harder to get the grips with than DoomSlayer, he's definitely the more fun.

My only criticism is that some sub-weapons feel more useful than others. The shard bomb didn't seem as good as other weapons such as the Flaming Torch for dealing with crowds at close range. By comparison, the Blazter's Thermal Beam or Buster Missile felt indispensable in order to deal with snipers, discouraging me from trying the other Blazter sub-weapons.

All the same, bravo - playing through Back To Saturn X 1 with this is a blast.

Hi, trying to play this and the HUD will not load. Doesn't show up on normal HUD or alternate HUD. Seemingly no way I can make it work. My load order is gmota at the top then the custom map pack below (tho i have tried both ways).

edit: nevermind, the way I fixed it was changing the screen size option in display on gzdoom to 10 from 11, i dunno why it was set at 11. I'll leave this here in case it helps someone else in the future.

edit again: This is an amazingly fun mod! Great job.

Can someone recommend any good medieval/dark fantasy/dungeon/etc type level wads that would go nicely with this? Looks like a ton of fun, but couldn't quite get into it with the normal doom 2/final doom levels.

You could also use the Hexen 2 texture disguise mod, changes a lot of default Doom stuff to fit the theme.

I wouldn't recommend Herian 2, as each map, though very atmospheric, is a giant switch-hunt.

What did you use to get the textures to change like that? It doesn't look like that when I load it up.

I'm having a bit of an issue with trying to run GMOTA with Eternal Doom IV. I can't get it to start on map 8 without skipping character selection. Also, very few GMOTA enemies show up and there is no music.

I assume the ED enemies are still there cause GMOTA is only set to replace stock doom enemies.

Is there some sort of compatibility patch out there somewhere or any tips on getting it to run with character select and music?
