Re: [Update] The Guncaster - Here comes that funny feeling a
I couldn't even reproduce it with the latest GZDoom, and I don't want to go back to test various earlier versions. The mushrooms hate thee!
What is fun, however, is immediately reaching terminal velocity in Hexen by using the stomp attack. Even though Cygnis is completely immune to falling damage. (I never did get around to auto-Chaos Devicing on terminal falls otherwise, in places where you could get stuck in very low pits.)
Edit: I am a dweeb and this is actually correct behavior for Hexen. -63 units per second z velocity is the minimum kill speed (now with 100% more infinite damage in recent GZDoom!) and the stomp attack set Cygnis to -64 when used. Fixed that one!

I have no idea of the real value, but I was assuming this was meant as a recent subset of the damage mechanic changes going on inside ZDoom. Basically, you are familiar with the 10000 damage telefrag mechanic that kills you through any form of god mode, correct? I'm assuming terminal velocity now does something similar.

This was an issue that instakills the player.
Re: [Update] The Guncaster - Here comes that funny feeling a
Maybe Cygnis just rolls around in the mushrooms, caking the fungus onto his armor like Katamari Damacy?
Bah. "Why do toxic mushroom clouds boost Cygnis's armor?" "Because SCIENCE!"

Tempting... but maybe I'll refrain from drawing something dumb this time, gonna save it up for another occasion.ajb1978 wrote:Maybe Cygnis just rolls around in the mushrooms, caking the fungus onto his armor like Katamari Damacy?

Eitherway, if no more ugly bugs will rear out (I must mention that the tiberium ammo not going up within the shop limit while you get backpacks is something that won't get changed... yet.), I'll most likely release a little update with bugfixes and such this weekend.

YAAY!
I saw you were using some sort of counter system with the Hammerspace backpack. You know, where it would add one counter every time you pick up a backpack? Why is it that the same kind of system can't be used in regard to the Tiberium maximum capacity in the shop?

The shop currently doesn't actually consider this in regards to current inventory item amounts, and would take a stupid amount of work to implement. This is also something that has been stipulated as a feature in the eventual shop code rewrite... Stan is a busy man.

What do you mean by this?PillowBlaster wrote:-Added some kind of recognition between versions.
Also, I noticed a small glitch... while the Tiberium Core is active, and you're dual-wielding Old Dreadfuls, and you do the kick, the one on the right flickers.

Hurk, SLADE didn't save me that missing frame while I was exiting; probably missed one save. Ninja-fixed, also as a bonus, the VA got expanded a little with unused things and such.
