[Released!] Classic Weapons Pack for Brutal Doom

Hi!
Today I spend some time on creation of mod which will add slightly altered classic Doom weapons to the fantastic Brutal Doom.

Features:
-classic-style weapons: rifle, shotgun, chaingun, rocket launcher, plasma gun, bfg. Pickup sprites for super/shotgun and plasma.
-un-cut versions of chaingun, rocket launcher and bfg - they take a lot of screen's space and look powerful.
-simple reload animations based on vanilla sprites.
-weapon rise/lower animation with multiple angles.
-rocket sprites taken from Beautiful Doom: both ammo and projectiles.

All the animations are based on already existing sprites so don't expect artistic design here. For now everything is made except for new rifle sprites. Currently the file is about 1MB big.

Screenshots below. They don't look impresive, but the whole animations look good.

Neat, I'd like to see more of this.

I hope your going to make the Super Shotgun all brown, the gray wooden forearm clashes with the brown stock.

And perhaps do the same to the shotgun too?

Thanks for the replies guys.

I decided to make the Doom Alpha weapons a separate pack:
-Assault Rifle
-Machine Gun
-Shotgun pickup (seen above)

I've changed the shotguns in the "classic" pack to look like this - see 3rd screenshot (I hope Lava Grunt likes it too :) ):

Hey, I was waiting for somthing like this!

BuT, but, but, part of the shotgun is still from BrutalDoom?
Can I download this somewhere? I waan play with this eve if its now finished.

Yes, shotgun will remain partially in BD-style, as some other weapons. Smooth stock is an improvement IMHO.

The mod is almost finished, only a minor tweaks here and there and.. asking for permission from authors I've taken some of the frames. This may be the hardest part.

Current to-do list:
-change Doom gloves on pistol animation to BD equivalents (Yes, BD pistol addon will also be supported). This will take some time as currently have no idea how to do it right
-tweak Machingun reload animation (low priority, it's not so bad)
-get in touch with perkristian, Sarge and zer0 to get their permissions

You sir... are a legend. Anyways, small request... SMG from DOOM 1 Cover?! And can you make the Assault Rifle look like what the Zombiemen carry?!

Progress update:
-The current version have smooth plasma animations included
-Heavy Armor sprite from Realm667 repository
-The glitch with fliped machine gun will be fixed soon

Also made a compilation of "soft" weapons sounds. The sounds are borrowed from Beautiful Doom, Brutal Doom 12, Vanilla Doom etc.
All the gunshots and explosions are replaced, some action sounds are taken from console versions of Doom.
I use them mostly when I play during night, when everybody's sleeping, but they're great for anyone looking for a non-loud sounds.

Progress update:
-abandoned the idea of Heavy Armor from Realm667 (due to glow mismatch)
-classic, wooden fore grip for SSG, revert back to vanilla pickup sprite
-assault rifle now moves up and down when focused
-machine gun's firing is now less jerky, frames with mirrored machine gun sprite fixed
-plan to improve pistol reload animation
-will move to pk7 format for the next release

Progress update:
-pistol reload animation improved (positioning, pistol hammer etc)
-machine gun animation revised, clip scaled down
-full compatibility with Brutal Doom .17 which means:
-"non-motion-blurred" fist attacks
-machine gun ironsight view added

Plans:
-improve ironsight graphics (make them less blurry)
-prepare everything for the next release
