I'm getting some seriously good vibes here, people. (Seriously.) That said, I think the biggest pitfall of a mod like this would be keeping the Doom enemies manageable if you're including them - normally fighting all those imps and Cacos at once would be suicide in a constrained space, especially given how much it takes to take them down individually. I hope you can pull it off well!
